In this tutorial we are joined by award winning UK based wedding photographer, Dru Dodd. Dru is a true photography innovator and as well as capturing beautiful real moments with authenticity on a wedding day, Dru is renowned for creating unique images which are completely different to anything we have seen before.

A couple of years ago Dru developed his own ‘Halo Pack’ which consists of 4 copper rings, each of different lengths, all hand crafted by Dru himself. In this tutorial, Dru very kindly shares exactly how he uses the pack to create off-camera flash portraits which are completely unique. Not only does Dru talk us through the equipment you will need and all of his camera settings, but he also takes us behind the scenes on a live shoot where you can see Dru creating his epic images with a real couple.

I’m Dru, a wedding and commercial photographer based in Northumberland, England. I started out taking landscapes and images of the night sky during my PhD in Molecular Genetics and kind of fell into photographing weddings.
